Creating Your Keepsake

  • Yes. Our Photo to Keepsake experience allows us to transform a cherished photograph into a personalized 3D keepsake when an in-person capture isn't possible.

  • Absolutely.

    Couples, families, and multiple subjects can be brought together into a single keepsake. We'll discuss the composition and details with you before production.

  • Yes. Pets can be part of your Michi3D experience, whether they're being preserved alongside you or celebrated on their own.

  • Your keepsake can be personalized around the moment you want to preserve. We'll discuss pose, clothing, number of subjects, and other details during your consultation so we can determine what's possible and provide an accurate investment.

The Creation Process

  • Yes - only for the photo-to-keepsake. Before production begins, we'll provide a preview for your review and approval.

  • We'll work with you to make reasonable adjustments during the approval stage. Because every project is individually created, we'll discuss any specific requests with you before production.

  • With 3D Capture, your keepsake is created from your own 3D scan, preserving your likeness and the details of the moment with exceptional fidelity.

    Photo to Keepsake is a reconstruction from photographs, so the final result depends on the quality and clarity of the images, along with factors such as pose, clothing, expression, and other details captured in the photographs.

    We'll review your source material with you and guide you toward the approach that best suits your vision.

Investment

  • Every keepsake is individually created, so investment varies depending on size, number of subjects, pose, clothing, and the level of customization involved.

    Keepsakes begin at $150 CAD.

    Once we understand what you'd like to create, we'll provide a clear recommendation and personalized quote.

  • A $30 non-refundable booking fee secures your private appointment and is applied toward your final keepsake purchase.

Practical Questions

  • Most scanning appointments take approximately 10–15 minutes, including check-in, posing guidance, and the 3D scanning process. The scan itself is captured in just a fraction of a second, making it quick and comfortable for individuals, families, children, and pets.

    We recommend arriving a few minutes early to ensure a relaxed, seamless experience and allow plenty of time to prepare for your keepsake.

  • Our standard turnaround time is approximately 4 weeks from the date of your scanning session. During this time, our team carefully processes your 3D scan, produces your keepsake and completes detailed finishing and quality assurance to ensure your keepsake meets our highest standards.

    If you need your keepsake sooner, rush service may be available for an additional fee, subject to production capacity.

  • We offer four standard keepsake sizes: 4", 5", 6", and 8". For those looking for an even more striking keepsake, we also offer custom sizes up to 15" tall.

  • Wear something that feels true to you and suits the moment you want to preserve. Well-fitted clothing with defined shapes and minimal fine patterns tends to translate beautifully into a keepsake.

  • Absolutely. Children can be captured, and some of the most meaningful keepsakes are created from those fleeting years.

    For younger children, we simply take a little more time and patience to make the experience comfortable and natural.

  • Yes. We can capture beloved pets as well.

    Because every pet is different, we'll discuss the best approach beforehand and help determine whether an in-person 3D capture or another source is best suited to your keepsake.

  • Absolutely! We can scan couples, families, and small groups together. Our scanning platform comfortably accommodates up to five people. However, for the highest level of detail and the best overall keepsake quality, we generally recommend up to three people whenever possible.

  • Your satisfaction is important to us. Before production begins, we provide a digital preview of your 3D model, giving you the opportunity to review the scan and request minor adjustments where needed.

    If your keepsake arrives with a manufacturing defect or quality issue, we will be happy to provide a complimentary reprint to ensure your keepsake meets our quality standards.

  • Yes. We offer shipping throughout Canada and internationally. Shipping costs vary depending on figurine size and destination. Local customers are also welcome to pick up their figurines directly from our studio.

  • Because each keepsake is custom-made, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded once the scanning session has been completed and production has begun.

    However, if your figurine arrives damaged or contains a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery. We will work with you to assess the issue and, if applicable, provide a replacement or reprint to ensure your keepsake meets our quality standards.
